As we all know., there are many types of medium all around us, whether its a simple newspaper, a novel or something more new age and hip like Twitter.
Music can be a very good medium it can be used to transmit any kind of message and also we can figure out anyone's personality at least some parts of it. Having a bad day or may be a break up? The world is on the verge of coming to an end? Someone royally pissed you off? Or you really don't really care about the material world...... their are songs for everything.
Different songs can mean different things to many people.,, that is why we have so many genre of music itself. And this factor can help us to make out the nature of a person,, but that does not mean that if someone is listening to rock music he or she is depressed certainly not. Psychologists have done so many studies on almost every aspect of our lives, the type of clothes we wear, our body language etc . In a study conducted by Rentfrow and Gosling, different people were paired and were told to get to know each other and found out that most popular topic of discussion was music. 58% of the pairs discussed music. So this results gives us the conclusion that Music can be used to know other person's personality. Analyzing the results the researches found out that if a person like country music he or she is "emotionally stable", quite shocking because country music is all about heartbreak. If a person likes jazz he or she is believed to be a intellectual person while if a person prefers vocals then he or she is believed to be extroverted. Music is something everyone can relate to, it is something beyond language which was effectively proven by the Korean song Gangnam style by Korean artist Psy, , which was recognized by the Guinness World Records as the most liked video on YouTube, even thought the song was in a different language. Same goes with the song Jai Ho sung by Indian artist A.R Rehman was partly in Hindi and English won many prestigious awards like Academy Award and Grammy Award. The song has an English adaptation as well done by the American girl group Pussycat dolls and the song was named Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny) . Though this song was not able to gain that much popularity as the original one.

According to my perception, music has a great power to express that which cannot be put into words and that which cannot remain silent.Everybody has that point in their life where you hit a crossroads and you've had a bunch of bad days and there's different ways you can deal with it and the way I dealt with it was I just turned completely to music. William shakespeare has rightly said

I think music is like air. It has no true shape or definition, yet we need it to live. Imagine a world without music. All you’re left with is dust. Music is life itself.Music is one of the few things that can help you escape your reality. No matter how bad things are, music has the potential to make you forget all about it. Music can spark any emotion. It can hold memories. It can tell stories. It will always be there. It will never vanish. It will always be life. You can’t touch music, but music can touch you.Music can be seen as a type of communication, a communication that is magical to the soul and powerful in the way it brings people together. It has the ability to conjure up specific thoughts and feelings within us unlike any other method of exchanging ideas. The perceptions within music can be very subjective. This is mainly because one persons reaction to a song differs from another persons reaction. That is why different genres appeal to different people; however, the effects that come from music, promote the abilities to make people come together and to share a common interest
I conclude that , music is in our minds beginning from our birth until our death. Music is an inseparable part of this world. We cannot live without music being the part of this world of full noise and beat. I think, music is the same to our soul, like the food to our body
